About Zipdrop
Zipdrop connects customers in Kigamboni, Dar es Salaam with local stores and independent riders. Stores prepare and sell the items. Riders deliver them. Zipdrop runs the app, sets delivery fees and handles support.
Orders and prices
Each order comes from one store. Prices are set by the store and shown in Tanzanian shillings (TSh).
The delivery fee is based on the approximate straight-line distance from the store to your pin, using the bands shown in the app. The fee is locked when you place the order and will not change at the door.
Arrival times are estimates based on preparation time and distance. They are not guarantees.
If a product becomes unavailable or a price changes before you place the order, checkout will stop and ask you to review your cart.
Payment
Cash on delivery is available now. Mobile money and card payments will appear once a licensed payment provider is connected. Zipdrop never stores card numbers.
Alcohol
Alcohol is sold only by stores that hold a valid licence and only to adults aged 18 or older. You must confirm your age at checkout. The rider will check a valid ID and will not hand over alcohol to anyone under 18, anyone who cannot show ID, or anyone who appears intoxicated.
Your responsibilities
Give a correct address, pin and phone number and be available to receive your order. Treat riders and store staff with respect. Do not place fake orders or misuse promotions; we may suspend accounts that do.
Stores and riders
Stores and riders must apply and be verified by Zipdrop before they can trade or deliver. They must follow Tanzanian law, food safety rules and these terms. Zipdrop may suspend partners who do not.
Liability and changes
Stores are responsible for the quality and safety of what they sell. Where something goes wrong, our Cancellations and refunds policy explains what we will do. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
